My Little Ballerina
So over the past month, Madison (on a side note, she has informed us that she no longer likes to be called maddie) has had 2 recitals. One for her ballet number and a second for her acrobatics. She did such a great job and we were all so proud of her. She always likes for things to go exactly as planned and got a little frustrated during the finale when the little elephants were not where they were supposed to be. She ended up directing them on stage where to go! She has her kindergarten graduation coming up this weekend and it really makes me wonder where the time has gone. I remember vividly the day she was born and now she is such a big girl. She is going to be an amazing big sister. I cannot wait for her to have to blessing of a sibling to share life with. Harrison and I are both so thankful for our siblings and are glad God has blessed Madison with the chance to have siblings of her own! Love you, sweet girl!

Mother's Day
Just wanted to take a moment to say happy mother's day to all those moms out there. I am so thankful for my mom, who just so happens to be the best mother in the world! Here are just a few of the many reasons why she's awesome:
1. She loves the Lord and serves Him in whatever way He calls her
2. She always puts us kids before her own needs
3. There was never a problem that she could not figure out
4. She is the best chef in the world
5. She taught me how to be a good wife
6. She taught me how to be a good mother not only with her words, but her actions as well
7. She taught me how to love and respect myself so that I can do the same for others
8. She is downright hilarious...usually end up in belly laughter when us girls get together
9. She always makes time for me with her crazy busy schedule anytime I need her
10. I don't think she knows what the words "I can't" mean...can't find them anywhere in her dictionary!
My mom rocks and I am blessed to have such a wonderful example to live up to. Love you, Mom. Hope your day was extra special today. We had a blast with you!

16 Weeks
Welcome to our blog, everyone. We thought it would be fun to share the details of this pregnancy through a blog so family and friends can keep up with us. I came across this pregnancy survey on several other blogs and thought it would be a cute way to track our pregnancy progress. Enjoy!!
How far along: 16 weeks
Total weight gain/loss: +4 pounds
Maternity clothes: Bought my first pair of maternity pants (some jeans) and are loving those. Otherwise sticking to nonmaternity loose fitting dresses and dress shirts for work.
Sleep: Great! After finishing my surgery rotation I still consider sleep a precious commodity and take full advantage of any chance I get!
Best moment this week: Hearing sweet baby's heartbeat at our 16 week checkup with Madison.
Movement: Starting to feel the slightest of flutters every now and then.
Cravings: Strawberries, water, and randomly the other day was craving barbecue (unfortunately never got any)
Gender: Unknown. Set to find out on June 1st.
Labor Signs: None.
Belly Button in our out? In.
What I miss: Not much, except maybe not having to microwave my lunch meat before eating.
What am I looking forward to? Everything! Sharing a pregnancy with a young child is so much fun. Madison's perspective on things has kept us from taking any of this for granted. She is amazed with the whole situation!
Weekly Wisdom: No excess water consumption after dinner. Makes for a long night of interrupted sleep.
Milestones: Feeling first movement and making it out of the first trimester.
