Two Little Fishies and a Mama Fishy Too

Maddie and Bragan LLLOOOOVVVVEEEE to swim. Bragan got in the pool for the first time back in May at Mimi and Grandaddy's house. He is quite the little fish...kicking, splashing, and squealing up a storm!

BMW Performance Driving Course

{The lineup}

Yes you read that right...Harrison and I got to take a driving course at the BMW track outside of Greenville. We had such a great time and we both learned a great deal. I feel so much more conscious of my driving now. We got to drive on a handling course, the skid pad, and practice emergency lane changes - among lots of other things. Harrison was a pro and ended up winning both the best time on the handling course and the rat race. Do I see a new hobby in the future? Uh oh, better start saving up now for all that racing gear :)

{Gentleman -and ladies- start your engines!}

{My turn...clear the road!}

{My car after the skid pad :/ }

Bragan and Maddie stayed with my parents while we were gone. This was Bragan's first overnight trip away from Mommy and Daddy. He did great, but we sure did miss those kiddos!

We stayed at a neat B&B in downtown Greenville called The Pettigru Place. They had the most incredible breakfast. We also ate at some really great restaurants while we were there - High Cotton, The Lazy Goat, and Soby's. We were full for a week after all of that deliciousness!

*A special thanks to The Dabo Swinney Show and Upcountry South Carolina for the accommodations. Harrison won the driving course tickets, B&B stay, and restaurant gift cards from a contest on their website.

7 and 8 Month Update

We are amazed at all of the things Bragan has learned over the past 2 months. Bragan has had an exciting two months since I last updated. He made his first trip to the beach, had his first overnight stay with Grammy and Grampy, and swam in the pool for the first time!

{Give me that paper!}

{Ahhh got it!}

{We did not get a traditional monthly pic because of our beach trips, so this will have to do!}
Here are his current tricks:
-He can roll any which way super fast! He can cover a lot of ground in no time!
-He can say Da-Da (first time was on June 9) and does it alllll day!
-He can get himself from laying down into a seated position easily.
-He can get up on all fours and hold himself there and rock back and forth, but no crawling yet.
-He can hold himself in a standing position if someone else puts him up.
-He can wave bye-bye (along with a flirty little smile). The first time was June 23.
-He can snap his fingers! First time was June 26.
-He can grab small pieces of food with his pincer grasp and put them in his mouth.
-He has now tried french fries, mac-n-cheese, crushed ice, ice cream/froyo, Gerber puffs, Cheerios, yogurt, and Goldfish and loves them all.
-He still loves to eat just about anything...I mean, just check out his thighs.

I came in the other night and found him sleeping like this! I thought it was too cute. He always sleeps on his tummy...no matter how many times I flip him back over.

He loves to giggle, especially when his sister makes him laugh. I will have to find a good video.

Graduation Party

We had a little graduation shindig at the Gray's house the evening after graduation. We are so blessed to have so many sweet friends that came to celebrate with us!

{Mary Dell and me...what can I say about our friendship? It is tried and true. Boy have we gotten into a lot of mischief along the way! :) }

Graduation

What a day! I don't think I can describe what this day meant to me in words, so I will just let the pictures do the talking.

{April and me before the ceremony. What a dear friend you are to me, April! Never would have survived these four years without you.}

{Another dear dear friend, Lauren. Miss you already!}

{My family and me...really wish my brother was in this pic!}

{Dr. Stallworth and me. He has been an incredible mentor to me and I am so excited to get to learn from him for another 3 years!}

Spring Weddings

We attended several weddings this Spring...

We make a weekend trip out of Sarah and Robby's wedding. We had such a great time celebrating with them and enjoyed the beautiful Charleston weather along the way.

Senior Banquet

We had our senior banquet in April and it was a great time! Senior banquet is an event for graduating medical students as a way to wrap up the last 4 years. There is an awards ceremony and then the first and fourth year medical students present their videos. I was blown away by the awesomeness (I know, not really a word!) of the video my classmates put together. You can watch it here!

Alpha Omega Alpha Induction Banquet

This years AOA Banquet was another success. The banquet was the night before Match Day (March 16). This year we had Dr. Kirch, the president of AAMC, as our keynote speaker. Harrison, April, and I were responsible for driving him to and from the banquet. We had a great time talking with him and hearing about his many fascinating experiences.
